Snowcat Ridge Is back and Better
Snowcat Ridge made an appearance last year in a HUGE way. Right outside of Dade City, Florida emerged a park that had snow and snow tubing!!!! With such popularity and success, over 5 million dollars was invested in the park which brought many upgrades and 2 new attractions: The Crystal Ribbon and Eskimo Outpost.
Snowy slopes snow tubing now has upgraded single, tandem, and family-style snow tubes. 50% more snow tubing lane capacity and 30 brand new launch conveyors for single and tandem tubes. The artic Igloo has been upgraded to allow for up to 60% more snow-making capability, as well as the well-desired snowball throwing target area. The Alpine Village will feature five new upgraded food court outlets, twice the seating and five new igloo shelters. The music and light show that happens throughout the park has also been upgraded.
The parks newest addition is the Crystal Ribbon. This is a 16,000 sq ft area with a 600 ft long ice skating track and a beginners oval. Also new is the Eskimo Outpost which offers eight rentable private igloos to provide guests with a one-of-a-kind VIP experience.
The new food menu will also include delicious sweat treats, as well as breakfast, lunch, and dinner options.
Last year I was honored to visit the park with a friend and her kids and we found this experience truly to be a family-style outing. The older child really enjoying the downhill tubing and the toddler figuring out the snow. Inside the igloo are mini slopes for the toddlers that have not reached that height yet to conquer the big ones.
