Even though the world is crazy and everyone tries to get back some normalcy, kids still need to be kids. Legoland Florida does not forget that!!! Entering it’s 10th birthday since taking over the old Cypress Gardens, Legoland Florida has done nothing but full steam ahead. From introducing Ninjago Land with a state of the art dark ride in 2017, then transforming The World of Chima into a much larger and more elaborate Lego Movie World Land a couple years later, you might wonder ….. What’s Next????

Legoland Florida is not stopping at 10 years old and has started it’s year-long birthday party for the children of all ages. This past Friday Nik Wallenda, Florida’s own daredevil tightrope walker, started the 10th anniversary bash with an exciting and daring tightrope walk from Lego Movie World to the top of the brand new Pirate Hotel. To keep in line with being in Legoland, the balance stick was made of legos. This was an exciting opening, but it doesn’t stop there.

Legoland Florida is introducing Piratefest weekends where Captain Brickbeard and his crew will be helping your child do their invasion of Legoland. Your child can dress up as a pirate and join the captain … arghhhh!!! There will be a lot of activities your child can join such as sword-fightin’, swashbucklin’, lingo-learnin’ trainin’ academy, and claim ye special pirate treasure before you face the ocean blue!

THERE IS MORE!!!!!! With the 10th anniversary there is an all-new water show called Brickbeards Watersports Stunt Show. Join Captain Brickbeard as he recruits some buccaneer pirates and they have to pass various skill tests before becoming a swashbuckler themselves. Watch these world-class athletes perform on their water skis (and more) as they bring you an exciting show and pay homage to Cypress Gardens all at the same time. Also, only in Legoland Florida can you meet the new pirate “Calico Jade.”

After seeing the preview of all of these exciting events, I have to say it is a must to see!!!!! I was assured there is much more to come with more exciting announcements also.
