Frozen Will Melt Your Heart
Friday night was the opening night for Feld Entertainment’s Disney on Ice Presents Frozen. This is a story based upon the movie Frozen and it is presented by ice skaters. Frozen has all of the popular songs and characters which connects to the audience almost immediately.
I have never seen Frozen other than YouTube videos of sings and previous snippets brought on the ice from various Disney On Ice presentations. Of course I had a 5 year old with me translating that which I could not get.
Disney On Ice did very well retelling the story brought to the big screen by House of the Mouse. A newbie like me was able to follow the story and understand it. It also brought the magic to the ice the child was able to see, understand, and sing with while smiling the whole time. Feld Entertainment hit a winner making a production of Frozen on the ice as it’s only offering. Of course Mickey and the gang as well as the Disney Princesses made an appearance too for that nostalgia.
Disney on Ice Presents Frozen will be showing through the weekend at Amalie Arena with performances at 11:00am, 3:00pm and 7:00pm on Saturday as well as 11:00am and 3:00pm on Sunday. Tickets can still be bought on Ticketmaster for all show times and tickets start as low as $18. From what I saw there does not seem to be a bad seat in the arena and the family will be able to enjoy the show in any seat.
So was it worth seeing for an adult …. Sure.
Was it worth seeing as a child? Well, take a look at this smile and you tell me?
As the 5 year old will probably say ….. “I wanna see it again!!!!!” Do not miss out on your chance to see it just once, if not more this weekend in Tampa.
