#Twinspeak Reviews Legoland Florida
Legoland Florida opened in Winter Haven, Florida on Oct 15, 2011. This made it the largest legoland park in the U.S. It was built upon the former Cypress Gardens. Legoland preserved the botanical gardens and created the park around it rethemed the roller coasters and water park along a lego theme. I have always wanted to review Legoland, but after visiting I saw it is clearly designed for ages 2-12. With that in mind, I invited Thomas and Robert, whom call themselves #Twinspeak to do this review for me.
This being #Twinspeak’s first visit ever to Legoland, you are getting a true review from first time visitors. #Twinspeak believes that Lego City is the “must stop” that you must make time for if you go to Legoland. Lego City is the home of Flying School, Boating School, Ford Driving School, and Rescue Academy. It is fun gathering the family at Rescue Academy and attempting to beat the other families in putting out fires. Boating School really tests your skills when you are stuck going in circles, but when you finally straighten the boat up and get home it feels like such an accomplishment. The winner of this area by far is Ford Driving School. The parents will admire seeing their children learning how to drive properly in a classroom and then go out and actually take to the “streets” after the class. #Twinspeak thought this was an awesome idea and a lot of fun.
#Twinspeak Highly Recommends, Triple Recommends Ford Driving School
Imagination Zone was the next stop for #Twinspeak. This area of legoland has the Kid Power Towers (if adults ride, you will realize you are the power). There is also an air-conditioned indoor space that houses Warner Bros. Games Zone, Creation Zone, Water Zone, Wheels Zone, Building Zone, and Flight Zone. This is an area that allows your children to build and experiment. It is interesting watching the creation of your child’s mind as they build a building to withstand an earthquake, or a lego car to race down the track to win against others. VIDEO GAMES???? Play Lego Star Wars, and other popular games in the Warner Bros. Game Room, and relax as they play.
#Twinspeak Highly Recommends, Double Recommends The Warner Bros. Game Room
Fun Town was next as #Twinspeak crusade through Legoland was nearing the middle of the day. Fun Town has the redesigned two level Grand Carousel, Wells Fargo 4D Theater, Granny’s Apple Fries, and the Pizza and Pasta Buffet. The buffet proved to be a great value for the parents. The options of pizza, pasta, and salad makes it an ideal stop for all tastes. The 4D theater has 2 movies playing throughout the day to entertain the mind and the sense of all who watches. For those of us that remember the old Cypress Gardens. APPLE FRIES!!!
#Twinspeak Recommends, ThrillFreak Highly Recommends The Apple Fries
The World of Chima has the Quest for CHI and Cragger’s Swamp. Here. YOU WILL GET WET!!! The Quest for CHI is a marvelously designed water ride that allows riders, spectators, and people passing by to get wet. It is a refreshing ride that allows you to cool down in the hot Florida summer days. Lego Kingdoms has Royal Joust, Merlin’s Challenge, and the roller coaster The Dragon in it with a well themed and built background. Land of Adventure has the wooden Coastersaurus, Beetle Bounce, Lost Kingdom Adventure and Safari Trek. All of these lands are superbly designed with an adventurous feel that allows your child to get in the moment of the area. If the child is not tall enough to get on the coasters in the other parks, Than this is the place to introduce them to how amazing roller coasters are.
#Twinspeak Recommends, Triple Recommends All Of The Roller Coasters
Heartlake City has Mia’s Riding Adventure and “The Friends to the Rescue” Live Stage Show. Lego Technic has another roller coaster called Project X, AQUAZONE Wave Racers, and Technicycle. Mia’s Riding Adventure is a unique circular back and forth up and down ride that will definitely challenge the senses. Project X is a roller coaster that nails the short turns and steep hills that has you catching your breath a lot.
#Twinspeak Recommends, Double Recommends Mia’s Riding Adventure,
Triple Recommends Project X
#Twinspeak ended the day at the water park. First by acclimating themselves to the water in the LEGO Wave Pool. Feeling the waves splashing against them, but not so powerful as to take control of their bodies from them. They then allowed the adults (that were accompanying them) to ride with them down the Twin Chasers on a double raft. #Twinspeak than chose the tunnel adventure on Splash Out to experience the high slide thrill with just their bodies gliding through the dark. They then joined the adults (that were with them) to relax on some rafts on Build-A-Raft River to end the day quite leisurely. This is a well-designed water park that has the thrills for adults even though it is made for the children.
#Twinspeak Highly Recommends, Triple Recommends The Water Slides,
#MommyOfTwinspeak Highly Recommends The Build-A-Raft River.
On the way out #Twinspeak was able to visit Miniland, which has amazing duplications done in legos of US landmarks and sites of interest, such as New York, Las Vegas, and San Francisco. They also have lego representations of Florida areas such as Daytona Speedway and Kennedy Space Center. The Force is strong nearby where there is Lego Star Wars Land. See life-size lego representations of Darth Vader and R2-D2. Be wary, or you may just find out how strong the Force is here when you run into Darth Maul.
#Twinspeak Recommends, Highly Recommends The Star Wars Land
Legoland is a large park and it is really necessary to have 2 days to enjoy it fully with your child. There were amazing things we were not able to see, such as The Island in the Sky and Pirate’s Cove. With the upcoming addition of Lego Ninjago World it is certain #Twinspeak will be able to see the rest as they also experience the new next year. Also, it should not be neglected to mention. There are Pokmon aplenty for everyone at Legoland. Asked upon exiting Legoland what did #Twinspeak think of the park as a whole.
#TWINSPEAK TRIPLE RECOMMENDS LEGOLAND TO EVERYONE!!!!!!!
You can get further information about Legoland at Legoland.com. They always seem to be having some ticket deal that makes it never a bad time of year to visit. Parents and children will love Legoland and it is a MUST to see if your child is between 2-12. If you are a Florida resident, an annual pass is a necessity and really economical in cost. Finally, knowing that the botanical gardens still exist from Cypress Gardens, it personally brought back memories of visiting there with my grandparents many, many years ago and shows that there is something for everyone at Legoland.
STAY TUNED TO FUTURE ADVENTURES BY #TWINSPEAK
