For the second year Ominous Descent has teamed up with Sir Henry’s Haunted trail to present horror in a new presentation a lot of smaller scare parks are starting to go to. IT WORKS!!!!  Right off of I-4 in Plant City is the premiere scare park Sir Henry’s Haunted Trail. Located within this scare park are
3 haunted houses/trails, laser tag, and an escape room. With all of the scare parks and huge theme park offerings, this is one that is definitely worth looking into if seeking that intimate scare.

The haunted houses are what is considered the hallmark of a scare park and this is true too. 3 haunted trails are presented where you are let through in groups of 6 with time in between. This allows the scare actors to set into position for their scares without letting other groups knowing where it is coming from. one again  …. IT WORKS!!!!!

THE HARVESTER  (4.5 of  5 SCREAMS)

The Curse of Hollow Oak is a tale that can only be told by the originators.
Click here to read about the past. Then enter for an experience worth every penny. The maze is long. When you think it will be over it keeps on going. The scares on this trail are plenty and well-timed. Definitely the best of the three overall.

REAPER’S HAUNTING  (4 of 5 SCREAMS)

Enter the Schwartz Funeral Home and come out of sane mind. Read here for the background on this trail. This trail is on par for the scares, but …… this had the two biggest scares of the entire park of all. This one is not for the faint of heart as you await to find what those 2 big ones are.

THE BREED (3.5 of 5 SCREAMS)

Ominous Descent brings you The Breed. This trail has the best makeup and visual aspects of the three trails. For me the BIG SCARES were not there, but then again, I do not get scared easily. Another nice thing of this trail it is story driven throughout the trail and almost feels movie-esque as you do the walk.

All three trails has strong points that make each one worth the while to go through.

Want to enjoy more while visiting Sir Henry’s?  New for 2019 is SABOTAGE laser tag. Can you and your team take out the clown felons before they take you out?  Also for the one that values their mind to out think everyone else you have the opportunity to take on VANISHED, an escape game. Recommended you do this as a team.

Sir Henry’s Haunted Trail was a surprise for me and I can now see myself returning in the following years to see what is presented anew. They are not meant to take on the big boys at the theme parks, but complement them and that they do a good job at. Take the time to visit. Click here for days open and tickets.
