Lego Movie World opened up at Legoland Florida and let me just say …. IT IS AWESOME!!!!  It is the perfect addition as a hidden gem of a theme park. We are talking in the state of theme parks galore Legoland is  getting to be a bigger name for itself as a heavy hitter in the state on a yearly basis. The addition of this area is a home run for 2019.

In the area that was formerly The World of Chima, Legoland took one ride and totally revamped the area while adding 2 more rides in creating a world of it’s own. The theming is spot on and if you seen the The Lego Movie you will feel right at home in the area where Emmit, Benny, and Unikitty call home in Legoland. If you do not see the movie (like myself) and still go, it is still AWESOME!!!!!

There are three rides major rides in The Lego Movie World. The Battle of Bricksburg is the redesigned water wide where you sit down in a boat and help defend Bricksburg by spraying down the DUPLO invaders with your water cannon. YOU WILL GET WET!

The signature ride debuting in 2019 is The Lego Movie Masters of Flight. This projection theater style ride is one of it’s own in which I have experienced and after riding it three times I found I would want to ride it again. Here you will join Emmit and the Master Builders on Triple Decker Flying Couch (see the movie first) and take a trip all over the Lego Movie Universe. See if you can identify the three mystery scents during the flight.

The final ride is Unikitty’s Disco Drop. This is the perfect transition from the Beetle Bounce found in the Land of Adventure and the major drop towers you would find in the adult parks. The unique thing about Unikitty’s Disco Drop if that you not only drop, but you will bounce and spin all over to the heights of Cloud Cuckoo Land.

Kids not big enough to ride the rides?   That’s OK, this is a problem solved by Benny himself. He dropped his spaceship right into the middle of the Lego Movie World. This spaceship now provides the young kids with a upright play area with a nice long slide at the end. Get ready for takeoff!!!

Ever wish it was Tuesday for Taco Tuesday?  Taco Tuesday is everyday at the Taco Everyday food station in Lego Movie World. Do not want to ever leave Lego Movie World?  Well, the Awesome Shop will have the perfect gift for you to take home to remember this AWESOME experience forever. Make sure to visit Emmit or Benny in the character meet and greet right before the exit of the area. Below is a walkthrough of the entire area:

After visiting Lego Movie World Legoland Florida has made it a major player in the land of theme parks and there is more to come. Next year they will be adding on their pirate-themed hotel for guests that looks to be more Awesome options between their regular hotel, the beach resort, and the many partnered hotels in the area.

Lego Movie World is a MUST VISIT area if going to Legoland. Make sure you arrive early as the Master’s of Flight will get long lines. Between this new area and the rest of Legoland there is no reason not to bring your children here, for it is AWESOME!!!!!!!
