Lots Of Fun Live on Sesame Sreet

The Yuengling Center last evening became the home of Sesame Street for a couple of hours as Sesame Street Live: Make Your Magic made it’s way onto stage. This show involved a street magician making his way onto Sesame Street for a magic show and he ends up helping Elmo and Abby discover the “Power of Yet.” This was a simple message to children and adults the lessen of patience and never giving up.

I found this show to be incredibly fun to watch. Watching Cookie monster gets a bigger reception than Big Bird and Elmo by today’s youth reminded me as an adult what was special about Sesame Street and it’s muppets. Catching the magic of the muppets and combining that magic with the dance numbers really created a fun show to
watch.

The music also hit the mark while taking pop songs and make a sesame street version of it was delightful for children and adults and made it easier to feel a part of the show. If there was one criticism I would have it would be changing the feel of the original anthem of the “Sesame Street Theme” and making it a little more hip. That probably resounds in my age only though, as it went well with the crowd in attendance.

Reliving my childhood of watching this story and seeing the youth of today also enjoying the show brings about a high recommendation to see Sesame Street Live: Make Your Magic. Your child will love it and you will be pleasantly surprised at how it made you just feel good for 90 minutes.

Sesame Street Live: Make Your Magic will have performances this weekend on Saturday the 13th at 10:30am and 2:30pm. There will also be a performance on Sunday at 10:30am. The following weekend will also have at the MaHaffey Theater in St. Petersburg at 2:00pm and 6:00pm.
