Legoland’s Family Friendly Brick or Treat a Hit
In October where all of the theme parks have their separately ticketed events for their Halloween festivities, LEGOLAND FLORIDA does it a little different with a lot of success. LEGOLAND’s Brick or Treat is included in the cost of admission and the park is transformed into a kid friendly spooky affair.
This year my guest reviewers for the LEGOLAND Park this Halloween is 5 year old Mason and 7 year old Jaxon. They are brothers that love excitement and thrills and knew LEGOLAND was right up their alley. Having never been to LEGOLAND Florida they had a lot to see and very little time in one day to see it, so we will have a general review on the whole park as to how they saw it during Brick or Treat.
Throughout the park there are a lot of lego character meet and greets of a Halloween and villainous type Jaxon and Mason took the time to meet a couple themselves. The nice thing is the lines were not long and did not take much of your time to get that quick picture out of the way.
Live Shows
We took the time to see a couple of the shows and Mason really enjoyed these. We saw the Groovin Graveyard in Well’s Theater and it turned to be a very fun party. The children loved it and the parents of the children loved that they did love it.
The other show in Lego City called “The Candy Coated Curse” was a huge hit with Mason. He is already bugging his mom to go back again to see the shows.
Rides
The roller coasters were a hit with the kids, also. MASON LOVES THEM ALL. Even though Jaxon wants to be the mature older brother saying he did not like them …. that was before we saw his huge smile on the camera of Coastersaurus and before he experienced VR. After that HOOKED!!!!
Water Park
The water Park is open on the weekends for Brick or Treat and if you have that added ticket this turns out to be a favorite for the youth. Jaxon wants to come back and spend more time in the water park. I rode so many slides myself while at the water park with them I am reminding myself why I am called the Thrillfreak.
Other Halloween Events
While there your child can partake in the Lego Scavenger Hunt which takes place through Lego Miniland. There is also the Brick or Treat Trail where the child can visit numerous candy stations to make sure they get their haul of sugar (as well as healthier options) for the day. There is also special brick builds like the Lego Cobra with a master builder. The child can help build one of those huge lego models they always see throughout the day.
Fireworks
The end of the evening brings you to Brickbeard’s Cove where they have the evening fireworks extravaganza. LEGOLAND distributes these special spectacles (glasses) that when worn, the fireworks look like lego bricks. During the fireworks you will hear the Tale of Pirates’s Cove. Mason and Jaxon both loved this display, as did myself.
This my first Brick or Treat, and I will endorse it big time because it brought a different feel top the park that the children love. It also keeps what works in the park in place so that the children has the best of both worlds. Be warned, you will probably need more than 1 day to see everything, co consider their reasonable annual passes if you live close enough to take advantage.
