May is the month where there is one special day that we honor with thanks to our mothers with Mother’s Day. That is not all that May will go down for, but it is also the month that contains the “May the 4rth Be With You” and “Revenge of the 5th.” Yes, May is also known as the month that contains Star Wars Weekends throughout some theme parks across the world including Florida’s own Legoland.

2018 is a special year for Star Wars Weekend at Legoland Florida for the Star Wars section of the park has expanded with the arrival of The First Order. The Force Awakens has now been added to the Star Wars miniland section and it looks great. It also appears there were some changes and cleaning up of the other Star Wars mini figures that were already there. This all together presented a fresh take on Legoland’s presentation for Star Wars in time for Star Wars weekends.

This is a great time to visit the park and pay homage to the greatest movie franchise ever made and still building in popularity. What better way to say Happy Mother’s Day than a trip to Legoland FLorida with her?

Also, remember, the brand new VR The Great Lego Race is in operation that gives you a whole new reality in riding coasters. Also, you can ride it without the VR experience just to get the thrill of a coaster ride all in itself. As I reviewed before, The Great Lego Race puts you in a Lego World where you are in a race against other teams. The twists and turns are exciting as you try to catch up or maintain the lead in this race. If my eyes were closed and loaded up, I would never have known I was on a coaster. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!

Of course May brings the heat. What better place to be than at a theme park that has its own water park too. Legoland Waterpark has 5 huge slides as well as numerous smaller ones for the young ones. Be brave and slide to the bottom of a slide that goes nearly straight down, or ….. team up with a friend or your child and take the inner tube through the twists and turns of the darkness of a smaller, but just as exciting slide.

You child can even have their own lego race by building a lego boat and testing it down the rapids against others in the park too.

Legoland is definitely a Florida destination for your Star Wars activities. Correction, Legoland Florida IS THE PERFECT DESTINATION for enjoying your youth again with your child in this very imaginative land. Also, you will want to ride the interactive water ride The Quest For Chi before it closes down on May 29th to be transformed into a new experience when Legoland debuts THE LEGO MOVIE WORLD in 2019.

KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN WHEN VISITING. You never know whom you might see on a safari in Legoland FLorida …..
