114 years ago in the Tampa Hotel was the beginning of the Florida State Fair. Today the Tampa Hotel is not the University of Tampa and the Florida State Fair now boasts of 15 acres of land with over 500,000 visitors and has the largest midway in North America with over 110 rides.

The fair returns this year in a huge way. The midway will be here, the rides will be here the entertainment will be here, and of course ….. the food (deep fried anything now!!!!). 

The Florida State Fair will be running from Feb 8th – 19th at the fairgrounds off of I-4. It will be loaded with entertainment this year for fans of all ages. For the children and teens PAW PATROL, RUSTY RIVETS and TEAM UMIZOOMI with be there for character meet and greets. There will also be TEEN STARS LIVE, DANCE MOMS and LITTLE FARM HANDS PRESENTED BY MOSAIC.

This year the fair launches the Extreme Sports Series which really packs a wallop for the sports minded. There will be the BMX/FMX FREESTYLE MADNESS that which will have some of the biggest stunts in action sports. There will also be the MINI MONSTER TRUCKS which is new and sounds exciting. Imagine 6-17 year ol

ds driving small-scale monster trucks and performing the tricks just as you saw by the big ones. That is what it is!!!! For the first time in decades, a DEMOLITION DERBY will be at the fair!!!!
