Legoland Beach Retreat Rocks

As you all may know by now, Legoland Beach Retreat opened its doors to the public on April 7th, 2017. Less than 2 years after opening its hotel right next to the entrance of Legoland Florida, the Beach Retreat more than doubles on-site accommodations and gives guests new reasons to stay at Legoland.

The new Beach Retreat has lego-themed colors and designs both inside and outside of the bungalows that are divided into 13 horseshoe-shaped “coves” that are each named after a LEGO minifigure. The 83 bungalows can accommodate families of up to 5 and has a bunk bed, trundle bed, and privacy curtain so the kids can have some privacy away from the adults. There is also a bathroom and main room with a king bed, refrigerator, and safe to complete the living area. It reminded me of staying at a cottage at the lake when I was a kid and brought back a lot of memories. (By the way, there is Lake Dexter right next to the retreat)   Here is a guided tour of our bungalow:

There is also a huge swimming pool right next to the lighthouse. At the lighthouse, you will find Sandy’s Castle Restaurant, which has a menu for both adults and children alike. Palm Tree Traders, a retail shop, is also located there stocked with plenty of legos, minifigures, snacks, and swimwear. Not to be left out is Brick’s Beach Bar, debuting 4 signature drinks for the adults. Let me recommend to anyone ….. Fish in a Bowl is a must to try. The beach bar is both accessible inside and outside by the pool and has made-to-order foods available also. Most importantly …..  FREE WI-FI is available THROUGHOUT the resort so you can stay connected and email those vacation pics to everyone.

The unique thing about the Beach Retreat you will find out is drive though check-in. No more gathering the kids and everything and walking into a room to get checked in. Only to gather everything right back up to the car to drive to your room. This all takes place right at the entrance before you even drive into the resort, while sitting in your car. There are many check-in spots so the fear of the long line is vanquished.

Located less than a mile from Legoland theme park, transportation is provided to the park from the retreat or complimentary parking is provided if you drive yourself. You also get early access into the park with exclusive use of the parks most popular attractions, including LEGO NINJAGO WORLD and the brand new LEGO NINJAGO The Ride.

Nightly room rates start at $135 (plus tax and resort fees) and vary upon season, date, and availability. Awsomer and Awesomest Annual Pass Holders receive a 10 percent discount year-round. There are also packages available which include theme park tickets. To book a stay, visit Legoland Beach Retreat or call direct at (877) 355-5346 between 9-5 daily.

With the kind graciousness of Legoland Florida Resort, the Thrillfreak and Twinspeak were invited to stay an evening at the resort. Considering it was my birthday when we stayed I was more excited than the 8 year-old twins in visiting.

We both left thinking the Beach Retreat is AWESOME!!!!!!!   Highly recoommended and at an affordable price. I can see myself visiting and staying again in the future because it is so nice and within the budget. It is a strong consideration for any family visiting Legoland and a MUST if you LOVE LEGOLAND!!!!!
