Escape Coundown Is The Challenge
Escape Countdown joined us in the Tampa Bay and Sarasota areas recently and is making quite an impact. The concept is that you are getting locked into a “themed” room for an hour and you and your team has an hour to escape. To fully appreciate this challenge, The Thrillfreak himself assembled a team together to accept this challenge and see what we can do. The theme we chose was to escape the jail after getting arrested.
Suddenly getting arrested for stealing a very important piece of artwork from the Ringling Museum in Sarasota, the four of us were handcuffed and placed in a jail. We were told the warden went out to lunch and would be back in an hour to ship us off. We now had an hour to escape the jail, hack into the computer and erase evidence of us being arrested, and steal the evidence bags against us. The challenge in itself is to use anything and everything in the environment to figure out how to accomplish this. Some of it may seem obvious easy whereas others you are wanting to shout “CLUE PLEASE!”
We were able to escape with 7 minutes left and using 1 clue. Keeping in the spirit of not spoiling the challenge for yourself, I will not go into further detail. Could I have done it alone? I doubt it. Could two of us? Not in the allotted time period we were given. A team of up to 8 people really is necessary and it really does challenge and assess your ability to work as a team.
Would I recommend this to you? ABOLUTELY!!!!! Even if you do not like the jail theme there are other themes to “escape” from. There is a Wonderland Scenario where you escape from the Mad Hatter. Tampa also introduced a pirate theme to stay within the Gasparilla traditions of Tampa Bay. I also found out that the Sarasota location will be debuting a circus theme to stay within the ingrained circus tradition in the area. There is also coming soon that will be themed about Mars which is stated to really be a good one that will have the people talking about afterwards.
The Escape Countdown is a mental challenge that will test every component of your teams abilities. To book a room now just go to escapecountdown.com and arrange for your preferred timeslot. Tell me if you like it? Let everyone know. I look forward to doing my next theme personally and cannot wait. so, I must say :
TAKE UP THE CHALLENGE AND ESCAPE!!!!!
