The Force is Close Now

The Force Awakens Trailer Debuted

Whether you were a football fan or not, everyone was in front of their TV awaiting halftime to come to see the third and final new trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. I myself was at a local bar and was surprised to see about 6 people walk in for halftime, and them promptly left right after. Not often, barring the Super Bowl halftime show, you will see ratings spike during that area of the football game.

What did it bring us?  It was still ominous and not really devolving of any major plot lines.

[SPOILER] DO NOT READ ON IF NOT PLANNING TO WATCH IT!!!!

It opens up with Rey. Who is she?  This we do not know. As she is dressed the questions ponders …… is she the child of Han And Leia’s daughter?  Is all these easter eggs just meant us to believe she is and she is something totally different?  Or as she says …. is she nobody?

Who is Finn?  A stormtrooper laden with the Force? He is by far the most interesting character I have been trying to figure out since trailer number 1.  Is he a stormtrooper that is seeing the rebels as the cause to go to. Will he be Luke’s apprentice and on a secret mission. Or, is he Captain Phasma’s little secret on a mission. Yes, we see him against Kylo Ren in what looks to be an awesome lightsaber duel we will all be looking for.

Kylo Ren is looking to be the most badass villian the Star Wars Universe has dreamed up. I am actually converting my sith halloween costume into a makeshift Kylo Ren costume for halloween. It is evident he plans on finishing Darth Vader’s plan. What plan? Who was he to Darth Vader? Why does he also wear the mask? These are elements wisely kept hidden.

Then the classics. We see Han Solo again muttering the words “it all true” about the old stories. We see him holding Leia in a hug in an emotional setting. We see him leading Rey and Finn to a building that looks abandoned. We see him and Cheiw with raised hands as if they were taken prisoner and something unexpected happened.  Lastly, we see what appears to be Luke’s robotic arm reaching out to R2-D2 as if he found a long lost friend.

With the First Order showing the stormtroopers and in a discplinary manner never seen before in the first two trilogies, the Empire is looking like they have things together to wreck havok for this trilogy in the Star Wars Universe. Here is the link to the latest trailer to watch if you are one of the few that has not already.

Tickets went on sale yesterday before the trailer appeared and the demand was so great it crashed the Fandango and AMC servers. I was hoping to see it on premiere day, but now hoping there is maybe a 3am showing where I can relax and see it in my local theater. One way or the other, I WILL SEE IT!!!

What are your feelings upon this latest trailer. I would welcome to hear them. I also included the first two trailers to view. May The Force Be With You All!!!!
