7 Years Strong at Screamageddon
Seven years in and Screamageddon does not fail in it’s entertainment of scares. This is one of the few parks that tried to not let Covid effect them and still go full force ahead. It did not disappoint. Now on to the reviews.
HAUNTED HOUSES (Rated from 1 to 5 screams, 5 being the scariest)
Bloodwater Bayou (4.5 Screams)
This was the outdoor trail in the past. There is still some outdoor elements left, but do not be fooled, it is mainly inside. I did like this a lot better, espescially on the hot nights. Being a new house I was not able to predict the scares and many were timely and well placed. This is one that you must do.
Ravenhill Asylum (3 Screams)
Ravenhill Asylum picks up where it left off from the previous year. To me there was not many scares, but the interactive element made up for the shock scare. If you so choose to participate in the interactive element, you will not be disappointed. Be warned, you may not find your way out of this house? May cause you to go insane.
Rage 3D (4 Screams)
The 3D house that has been here all 7 years still never fails. It has seemed to take a couple steps up from the past couple of years in the scare department. The misdirection was a lot better and the the 3D effect is one of the best I have seen for scare houses in the Tampa Area past. By the way … scared of clowns? Well, this would be a full-fledged
Blackpool Prison (4 Screams)
I love this one. I always have since day 1 many years ago. In year 7 I still do. The scare actors in this house really take pride in their roles? In the interactive area though. Excellent. The scares are still there if choosing not to play, but this one is sooooo much more fun if you play. Better know a tune to sing.
Demon’s Revenge (4.5 Screams)
The best here last year and the best here again. Such unexpected surprises that are sure to make you jump during the dark journey through the house. The last room? I dare you to proceed through it alone.
Zombie Paintball Assault (4 Screams Entertainment Value)
This is not really a scary house, but it is one of the most interactive scenarios to prepare you for the zombie apocalypse. Take a ride on a beaten down school but through the back woods and shoot live moving zombie targets. This is an upgrade, though, but worth it. If you have done this before in previous years, not much has changed. If you are coming back from the first two years, this is what has replaced the haunted hayride.
While there do not forget that you can throw some axes, drink your favorite brews from Bonzo’s beer garden, and relax as you eat. Be wary, you can be a victim at any moment throughout your stay at Screamageddon.
Screamageddon does have a VIP upgrade that allows you to a front of line entrances. Well worth it on a busy weekend night. Probably can get through during weekdays with no issues. The value for the offering is one of the better values in the Tampa Bay area. The only negative I really got form this experience is I feel the parking charge was just a slight bit pricey in comparison to the entrance. Would I let it stop me, though? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!!!
Screamageddon is open daily through Halloween and advance admission is always recommended starting at $24.95.
