Christmas, Holidays

Hillsborough County Fairgrounds Is A Festival Of Lights

on Thanksgivving Day in 2021 the Hillsborough County Fairgrounds will have Christmas lights again, but these lights are brought to you by the Hillsborough County Fair itself. There is over 2 miles and a million lights lighting your path through land. It turns to be a nice quiet drive with the family is a perfect way to enjoy the festive season. Holiday tradition are often started with a drive and this is no exception.

The elaborate, contemporary displays feature LED technology for the brightest festival around! Tune-in to Mix 100.7, Tampa Bay’s Christmas Station and the official radio station of the Festival of Lights and Santa’s Village, to fully immerse yourself in the holiday spirit during your drive-thru of the light displays.

At the end of your drive is not all, though. Take a stop, visit Santa and get your picture taken with him on his porch. In Santa’s workshop will also be craft stations for the kids and their families to enjoy. The Town Square will be hosting holiday movies for you to enjoy your holiday treats that will be available along Main Street. Santa even has an interactive barnyard where you can pet and feed the critters, including camels that you can even ride.

There will be special themed nights throughout December.

Thursday, December 2:  Paws & Claus Night – with special appearance by Bolt. (Bring your dog for pictures with Santa!  You’ll also be able to meet Bolt, the ambassador for the Tampa Bay Lightning and Southeastern Guide Dogs, who’ll be onsite from 6-9 pm.  Well-behaved dogs on a leash or in a stroller or carrier are welcome throughout the event.)

Friday, December 3:  Special Guest – coming soon!

Thursday, December 9:  National Pediatric Cancer Foundation Fundraising Night ($10 from every ticket sold this night will be donated to the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation.)

Wednesday, December 15:  Heroes Night (Members of the Military and First Responders and their families get exclusive access to Tampa Bay’s Festival of Lights & Santa’s Village throughout the night, PLUS they receive $10 off each ticket for that night with valid ID.)

After previewing this light show and meeting Santa I will support it is a most excellent way to start the Christmas Season. INformation and tickets can be found on the Hillsborough County Fair website. Do not miss out on this.
