Southern rock legends Lynyrd Skynyrd have announced a major 2025 tour across Canada celebrating the band’s 50th anniversary. The 10-date trek takes place in September visiting Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Oshawa, Niagara Falls, Laval, Moncton, Halifax and St. John’s. Joining the tour in support will be special guests The Outlaws. The band recently joined forces with ZZ Top for their Sharp Dressed Simple Man Tour which originally launched in 2023 and was joined by Black Stone Cherry, Uncle Kracker and The Outlaws.

Back in 2021, Lynyrd Skynyrd embarked on their Big Wheels Keep On Turnin’ Tour which continued into 2022 and was joined by Kansas, Tesla, Don Felder, Marshall Tucker Band and Devon Allman Project. Three years prior, their Last of the Street Survivors Farewell Tour featured tons of special guests including Kid Rock, Bad Company, Marshall Tucker Band, .38 Special, Hank Williams Jr., Charlie Daniels Band, Blackfoot, Blackberry Smoke and Randy Bachman. Since forming in 1964, the band has sold 28 million records in the U.S. and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006.

In 2023 they played at the Florida Strawberry Festival and it was the first performance after the death of Gary Rossington. It was a very emotional night indeed. In 2024 before they head to Canada they will return to the 2024 Florida Strawberry Festival in Plant City Florida on March 5th to play again. This is a great venue with no bad seats in the house.
