MonsterJam Returns To Tampa
In Tampa there is always something exciting in January that not only comes once, but twice. It is 10,000 pounds of steel barreling down a dirt-filled Raymond James Stadium generating up to 2,000 horsepower. What happens next is it hits a jump and flies up to 35 feet in the air and lands after being airborne over 100 feet. What can this be? What else buy a monster truck in the dirt, for MonsterJam has returned.
Grave Digger leads the way as an action-packed event is sure to bring the cheers of a packed stadium as they have done in years past. MonsterJam comes to Tampa on Jan. 16th and Feb. 6th. at 7:00pm.
There is all kinds of excitement and action to be present in Tampa leading up to the World Championships in Vegas. A lot of excitement has been generated for this season. Adam Anderson has joined Team Grave Digger and will be driving green monster on Jan 16th. Also scheduled to attend will be that weekend will be Tom Meents himself driving the high flying Max-D. Damon Bradshaw in fan favorite Monster Energy and Lucas Oil Crusader driven by Linsey Weenk. Madusa, the Queen of Carnage herself, Just told me on Twitter that she will be there also in January.
Not to be outdone by the veterans, though, we will see a lot of newcomers to Tampa this year. Monster Mutt Junkyard Dog will be making RayJay his dog pound that evening. Soldier Fortune will have all the
veterans standing tall as this truck makes it’s first appearance in Tampa. The most exciting to me, though, will be the new truck for 2016, Pirate’s Curse. I cannot wait.
Like previous years, there will be a Party in the Pits from 1:30-5:00 pm where you can get up close to your favorite truck, get a picture, and even meat your favorite driver also. These drivers love their fans and look forward to meeting everyone that shows up to say hi. Tickets for MonsterJam start as low as $16 and can be purchased at Ticketmaster. Pit passes to party is an additional $10. Select Ford dealerships do have free pit passes if you stop in and get them prior to the event though.
