Ringling’s Legends Will Amaze you

As reported earlier you all know Ringling Brother’s Circus is coming to Tampa. This is an exciting show for children of all ages. I went to my first Ringling circus when they had their winter headquarters in Venice, Florida, and those memories stick with me today. I was lucky enough to see the show again last New Year’s Day and relive it personally as well as watch two very young children experience the magic for the first time. This year I will get to see the magic in the eyes of a three year old knowing this will be a life memory for him. Barnum had the key to success when he created the circus and Feld Entertainment has managed to keep those keys as a new edition is presented every year.

Ringmaster Johnathan Lee Iverson presents This year’s “Legends” edition and it looks to be a memorable edition. Knowing that the Asian Elephants will be retired soon from Ringling circus performances by 2018. This could be one of the last chances you may get to see one of these beautiful creatures in a well-cared for and rewarded environment. I have seen elephants in zoos, small circuses and even in a “home” environment. Nothing compares to seeing them in a Ringling environment. That alone could be a reason to see the show if for no other. Yet, there are other reasons.

Look up high, and what do you see. You will see The Solar Hawks 40 feet above you. A trapeze troupe that will truly amaze you. Watch history being made as they attempt the 4 consecutive triple somersaults. While looking up look at the latest in daredevilry as you see the motorcycles up on the high wire. Watch them maneuver on these thin tight ropes in ways you never would imagine.

Animals you say? Of course there are animals. Watch the Riders of the Wind as they perform feats atop the impossible Cossacks. Hans Close will bring his act of canines and pigs to perform (all dogs except poodles were rescued from pounds across the USA). The most amazing of them all would be Alexander Lacey with his tigers, lions, and leopards. See the ultimate in trust as he performs with these magnificent predators of the wild.

Ticketholders can also purchase an upgrade and go backstage with a VIP tour of Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey. This will include an insiders look at the props and wardrobe, up close and personal encounter with the animals, and a chance to meet the stars from the show. To take advantage of this once in a lifetime experience just ringlingbros.expapp.com from your IPhone or Android phone and provide your name, email, and phone number to become a VIP circus insider. Now I know you are hooked.

Performances are Jan 6-8 (at 7:30pm), Jan 9 (at 11:00am, 3:00pm, 7:30pm) and Jan 10 (at 11:00am, 3:00pm). Tickets can be purchased at www.ringling.com or at ticketmaster.
